Heroic Women at the Musée de l’Homme

about

The project

“Femmes Héroïques, une mythologie moderne” (Heroic Women, a Modern Mythology), an exhibition held at the Musée de l’Homme in 2007 for International Women’s Day.

Lord Anthony Cahn unveiled the sculpture Victoria, representing the Roman goddess and a symbol of women’s rights. With wings, uplifted arms, and a crown of flowers, Victoria embodies the victories women have achieved throughout history.

This exhibition was the first in the world to be viewable online, and the first avatar created for it represented Minister of Culture Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres.
